Ferrari introduced the F355 in late 1994 as a replacement for the 348 series, which had been received by the public with mixed feelings. Although the F355 was largely based on the 348, there were significant changes both visually and mechanically. In addition to a substantial power increase, much work was done to improve the handling. Visually enormously modernized, the F355 became a sales success for the Italian company, and this model is regarded by many Ferraristi as the last "pure" Ferrari. In 1998, Ferrari introduced the F1 semi-automatic gearbox based on the same technology from Formula 1 and the 355F1 became the first production car with a robotised manual gearbox.
The 355F1 Berlinetta shown here in the stunning Blue Tour de France with Tan color combination was delivered to a diplomat in Paris in 1998 by the French Ferrari importer Charles Pozzi. The car had a total of two French owners before we added it to our selection. Here, the car was cleared of the sticky plastic issues and the leather received a complete treatment. The car presents itself in first paint besides the front and rear bumpers. With 1044 F1 Berlinetta examples built in total and the widely acclaimed love for the 355 model, this stunning example can be viewed in our showroom. At sale a complete major service will be provided and included in the price.
