History
The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta was introduced at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show as the successor to the 599 GTB Fiorano. Production continued until 2017, with approximately 7,000 units built. At the time of its launch, the F12 was the fastest road car Ferrari had ever produced, marking a significant step forward in performance for the brand’s front-engined V12 models. The design was developed by Ferrari’s Styling Centre in collaboration with Pininfarina. The model received widespread acclaim, including recognition as Top Gear’s Supercar of the Year in 2012.
Technical Details
The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is powered by a 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12, producing 740 hp (544 kW) and 690 Nm of torque at 6.000 rpm. Power is delivered through a dual-clutch transmission, allowing for rapid gear changes and efficient power delivery. The car features advanced systems such as Side Slip Control (SSC), which continuously adjusts traction and stability to optimise handling. Direct fuel injection improves efficiency while maintaining high performance.
Performance
The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta delivers performance figures that place it among the fastest grand tourers of its time. The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in approximately 8.5 seconds. Top speed exceeds 340 km/h. Carbon ceramic brakes provide strong and consistent stopping power, matching the car’s acceleration capabilities.

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta measures 4.618 mm in length, 1.942 mm in width, and 1.273 mm in height. Dry weight is approximately 1.525 kg, contributing to the car’s balance between performance and usability. The fuel tank capacity is 92 liters.
Variants
Ferrari developed several notable variants and special editions based on the F12 platform. The F12 TDF, introduced in 2015, is a lighter and more powerful version of the standard car, with production limited to 799 units. Ferrari also produced a number of highly exclusive models through its Special Projects programme, including the SP America, created for a client in the United States. Other limited examples include the F12 Berlinetta SG50, built to commemorate Singapore’s 50th anniversary of independence, and the F60 America, limited to just 10 units. Additionally, Ferrari created three F12 TRS barchetta models as individual one-offs, despite never offering a standard open-top version of the F12.
Design
The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta demonstrates a clear focus on aerodynamic efficiency. One of its defining features is the aerobridge, a channel that directs airflow over the sides of the car to increase downforce and improve high-speed stability. The chassis is constructed entirely from aluminium, contributing to both structural rigidity and reduced weight.
Interior
The interior of the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta combines a driver-focused layout with grand touring comfort. Controls are positioned for ease of use, while the cabin offers sufficient space and practicality for longer journeys. An optional passenger display was available, adding an additional layer of interaction within the cockpit.
Prices
The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta remains a highly desirable model within Ferrari’s modern lineup. Prices for standard examples typically start around €200.000, depending on condition and specification. The limited F12 TDF commands significantly higher values, often exceeding €1.350.000, reflecting its rarity and increased performance.
