Ferrari F8 for Sale Specs, Performance and Market Value Guide

The Ferrari F8 represents the final non-hybrid mid-engine V8 Ferrari, combining the performance of the 488 Pista with improved usability and refinement. With 720 hp and advanced driver systems, it stands as one of the most complete modern Ferrari sports cars.

Ferrari introduced the Ferrari F8 Tributo at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show as the successor to the 488 GTB. The model pays tribute to Ferrari’s long lineage of V8 engines, representing the final and most advanced iteration of this generation. Built on the foundation of the 488, but drawing heavily from the 488 Pista, the F8 combined increased performance with improved drivability. At the time of its launch, it was the most powerful V8 ever fitted to a series-production Ferrari. Production ran from 2019 to 2023, with the F8 Spider introduced alongside the coupé.

Technical Details

The Ferrari F8 is powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8, producing 720 hp (529 kW) at 8,000 rpm. This engine is directly derived from the 488 Pista and represents the peak of Ferrari’s turbocharged V8 development. Power is delivered through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Advanced systems such as Side Slip Control (SSC) and the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer (FDE) work together to maximise performance while maintaining stability. These systems allow the driver to explore the car’s limits with greater confidence.

Performance

The Ferrari F8 delivers performance figures that place it among the fastest cars in its class. The Ferrari F8 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in 7.6 seconds. Top speed is approximately 340 km/h. The F8 Spider offers nearly identical performance, with only a minimal difference in acceleration at higher speeds, while maintaining the same top speed as the coupé.

Dimensions and Weight

The Ferrari F8 measures 4,611 mm in length, 1,979 mm in width, and 1,206 mm in height. Through extensive use of lightweight materials, the car achieves a curb weight of approximately 1,435 kg, making it around 40 kg lighter than the 488 it replaces.

Design

The Ferrari F8 was designed by Ferrari’s in-house design team under Flavio Manzoni. The design incorporates several aerodynamic improvements, most notably the S-Duct at the front, which channels air through the nose and over the bonnet to increase downforce. At the rear, the design references the iconic Ferrari F40 through the shape of the rear window, creating a subtle connection to Ferrari’s heritage.

Interior

The interior of the Ferrari F8 builds on the layout introduced in the 488, with a focus on driver engagement and usability. The steering wheel is slightly smaller, improving precision during more dynamic driving. The Manettino remains central to the driving experience, allowing quick adjustment of the car’s systems. The cabin offers a balance between sportiness and comfort, with a range of material and colour options that allow for extensive personalisation.

Prices

The Ferrari F8 occupies a strong position in the modern Ferrari market as the final evolution of the brand’s turbocharged V8 lineage. Prices typically start around €250.000 and can exceed €500.000 for low-mileage or highly specified examples. As the last model of its kind, the F8 is increasingly viewed as a key car within Ferrari’s modern lineup.
