In 1984 Ferrari introduced the Testarossa. Designed by Pininfarina, the successor to the 512 BBi was an extremely bold design featuring distinctive door fins and an enormous rear end. Ferrari opted for this daring design with its sights set on the American market. The 12-cylinder engine producing 390 hp made it possible to achieve a top speed of 290 km/h. The Testarossa, in all its variants, was built until as late as 1995 and, with just under 7,200 units produced in total, was a success story. The Testarossa gained immense fame because the car was used in the hit series Miami Vice, and partly as a result, it grew into an icon that characterizes the 1980s.
The Testarossa Monospecchio / Monodado (single mirror / central wheel nut) in our collection is one of the last Testarossas of the first type built, as also used in the Miami Vice series. The car is of Italian origin, has had only 2 owners, and is still on its original tires! The car had been in storage for a long time and was extensively restored by us in 2015. The car features new paintwork, has received a comprehensive interior treatment, and technically, the suspension has been renewed and the engine completely disassembled. The Testarossa also features a OEM look 18 inch wheel set along with the original wheels as tires for the vr165 size are hardly ever available.
This 80s icon is optically in concours condition and will be sold with a new, digitally documented major service performed and new tires on 18 inch wheelset.. The Testarossa is on display in our showroom and can be inspected upon request in our workshop.
